Kelly Campbell…how does one put into words just how much insightful guidance one human being can put out into the world to help her fellow people? I am going to venture to say that you’re (my friend) are probably at 1A in my book. I am so grateful to have met you a few years ago and to have cultivated a wonderful friendship over that time. You are remarkable in so many ways…most importantly how to spread consciousness to the world and don’t expect anything in return. You are deeply profound and you do so in the simplest of ways. You speak goodness and kindness into the world. For that reason, this Homage goes out to you.
From the first time we spoke…I knew that I was talking to someone who was playing chess when I was playing checkers. That said, you never put me down or made me feel less intelligent. You spoke to me (at a time that things were not all awesome for me) in a way that made me feel like I had an ally. This meant a lot to me. You listened, you might not have agreed with everything that I said…but you were empathetic to what I was going through and how you might be able to help. Ultimately, the work was secondary and as we spoke more…it opened up conversation about REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE. The good, the bad and the ugly. We shared life stories about what we were each going through. That made for the beginning of a very cool relationship – one based on the human element, not the work one. Still remember vividly our lunch at Roxanne’s…you explained to me all the things “on the horizon” for you as you embarked “on this new project”…little did I know that you were charting a course to change humanity (literally and figuratively). Consciousness Leaders is literally tackling the dilemmas we face as a society and bringing those resources all under one roof. It’s simply amazing how you focus and just achieve – all while doing so in a manner that lifts others up, not tearing them down.
Ms. Kelly, I am so looking forward to watching you continue to blaze new trails in society. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention how much you’ve already done to help me peel back layers in my own life as a husband, father, son, friend and entrepreneur. You probably don’t even know the wisdom that you’ve dropped…but I can tell you it’s immense. I have been able to forgive others…and most importantly myself for some of the things that have held me back as a leader in the past. I am forever grateful to you Kelly and for these reasons, I THANK YOU.
